Here is a look at Mel & Doug’s beautiful Leo Carrillo Ranch Wedding in San Diego. Leo Carrillo Ranch is a large historic park located in the carlsbad hills and it houses wonderful old ranch style buildings, making it an amazing rustic wedding venue in southern California. The moment you walk onto the Leo Carrillo property it feels like you’ve stepped onto a move set with how well all of the buildings are preserved and propped. There are peacocks just wandering about and our favorite building is probably the white barn with the blue doors on the ranch. Tucked in with the barn are some old stables a windmill and some tiny houses. It truly is an incredible property for a wedding.
Mel and Doug’s wedding was held under a beautiful large tree in the courtyard at the ranch house. After the ceremony everyone wandered down to the pool behind the house where they had games and refreshments set up. A taco truck showed up to make snack for everyone while they socialized and waited for the reception to open up. Tables were set up on the lawn behind the ranch house for the reception. Market lights were strung for the evening festivities and tables were adorned with fun diy mason jars and vintage decor. This reception was off the hook and everyone had a wonderful time. Everyone spent time in the photo booth and showing off their best moves on the dance floor. The end of the night was filled with glow sticks and a full on dance off. Mel and Doug put together a great wedding and Leo Carrillo Ranch was a perfect place for it.
Mel’s mint color wedding wedges… are these not the coolest!
The bridesmaids all had cute matching t-shirts to lounge around in. The back of each shirt had how long they had known Mel for.
A bottle of champaign covered in glitter is a must for every bride when she’s getting ready!
